Casino mogul Steve Wynn closed on his new, $70 million penthouse at the Ritz-Carlton on Central Park South, one of the priciest properties in the Manhattan real estate market, and toured the space with new wife Andrea
Hissom and their architect and designers over the weekend. “Maybe by Thanksgiving we’ll be in,” the billionaire told us at the Loews Regency Hotel during the launch party for Richard “Skip” Bronson’s new book “The War at the Shore,” attended by Donald Trump, Martha Stewart, Donna Karan, Jonathan Tisch and Arianna Huffington. “Andrea has a whole posse of girlfriends,” Wynn said proudly about his British-born wife. “To her, a home is a place to share with her friends, so she’s — in the nicest way — a girl who enjoys people. Our life together is filled with friends.” The 10,882-square-foot duplex on the 30th and 31st floors was once the hotel’s grand ballroom. It boasts 15-foot ceilings, a library, a dining room with glass on three walls, and a terrace that wraps around the building overlooking Central Park and Sixth Avenue. Wynn, 70, who is legally blind, continued, “It was an extravagant indulgence on my part, but it is so wonderful.” The mogul, who married Hissom in a lavish ceremony in Vegas in May last year, added, “It’s such fun. It’s such a happy place.”
