Former US Secretary of State Colin Powell proved his pop culture prowess when he chimed in to sing the hit song “Call Me Maybe” while being interviewed Wednesday.
Powell was appearing on “CBS This Morning” to discuss his new book, “It Worked for Me: In Life and Leadership,” when he joined co-host Gayle King in a duet of the popular tune during a commercial break.
A video clip was released on the network’s website later Wednesday.
The tune by Carly Rae Jepsen, a Canadian pop singer, has gone viral since it has been parodied across the web.
Jepsen, 26, is set to open for fellow Canadian singer, Justin Bieber, on his North American tour.
