Robert De Niro was honored by the Ghetto Film School — which created the nation’s very first film high school in The Bronx — at its Standard Hotel gala Wednesday. Perhaps because De Niro won an Oscar for “Raging Bull,” his tablemate Tracy Morgan’s always unpredictable mind was “focused” on boxing. “Right now, I am just focused on [Floyd] Mayweather [Jr.],” the “30 Rock” star told us, speaking of the undefeated champ who began a three-month prison stretch this month for hitting his girlfriend. “I’m a big advocate. He doesn’t belong in jail, he’s a talented fighter. He belongs in the ring.” Morgan later pulled up his white dress shirt, unfurling an impressive gut for all to see, and thrust his hand victoriously in the air. VIPs including Grace Hightower, Melissa Leo, Julia Stiles, Chazz Palminteri, David O. Russell, Ogilvy Entertainment’s Doug Scott, “Moneyball” producer Rachael Horovitz and the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment head Katherine Oliver later hit the Boom Boom Room for an after-party, at which Questlove played DJ.
