Rangers star Rick Nash has a secret love of Broadway.
In a recent MSG Network interview with Alyonka Larionov, the usually reserved Canadian hockey hero dishes on his favorite New York hobby.
“I love Broadway and I try to take in as many shows as I can,” said Nash. “I’ve seen ‘Jersey Boys,’ ‘Book of Mormon,’ ‘Once,’ ‘Matilda,’ ‘Mamma Mia!’ . . . I still want to do ‘The Lion King,’ which I’ve heard is unbelievable, and ‘Phantom of the Opera.’ ”
He’s not the only area athlete to love the Great White Way: Tim Tebow seemed to spend more time in the audience at shows like “Wicked” and “Rock of Ages” than on the field for the Jets.
