Music mogul-turned-luxury home designer Sandy Gallin celebrated his wedding to Bryan Fox with Hollywood stars and power players.
Gallin, 73, who spontaneously tied the knot with his partner of five years, Fox, 34, at his lawyer’s office in New York in February, was toasted by hundreds at a party at the scenic oceanfront Nobu in Malibu on Saturday evening. Guests mingled with cocktails on the outdoor deck, then the speeches kicked off with Steve Martin and Martin Short starting the banter.
One witness told us, “Everyone spoke, from Ron Meyer to Barry Diller. There were more warm words from David Geffen and Diane von Furstenberg. Sandy talked about Bryan, saying they are going to be together for the rest of their lives. It was very emotional and heartfelt.”
Hosting the celebration were Geffen, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, entertainment lawyer Allen Grubman and wife Deborah, Diller and von Furstenberg, Meyer, Bryan’s twin brother Aaron Fox, and Elaine Wynn, who admitted that she was the secret buyer of the Francis Bacon triptych for a record $142.4 million at Christie’s last year and the pieces are now hanging in her living room.
Others toasting the couple included Anjelica Huston, Shirley MacLaine, Demi Moore, Matthew Morrison, Jeff Klein and John Goldwyn, sisters Joan and Jackie Collins, Martha Stewart, Terry and Jane Semel, Joel Silver, Ingrid Sischy and Sandy Brant, Jennifer Grey, Rosanna Arquette, Paramount’s Brad Grey and wife Cassandra, Henry Winkler, Alana Stewart, Guy Oseary, Dasha Zhukova and John McEnroe.
A large top-hat cake was brought out, with a blond figure on top representing Fox — who recently helped Gallin through a successful battle with illness — and a dark haired figure texting on a phone, representing the ever-busy Gallin.
Gallin managed the careers of Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand, Cher and Mariah Carey before turning to luxury home design. He has recently transformed the homes of moguls Jeffrey Katzenberg, Jimmy Iovine and Irving Azoff and is working on Geffen’s Hamptons home.
