Sydney Biddle Barrows — who ran a high-class escort service until she was arrested for promoting prostitution in 1984 — explained to me that she helps procrastinators, people with clutter problems or lack of focus.
“Think of some things you’d really like to do, or get done, but it never happens. People have subconscious blocks,” Barrows said.
The former madam deals with clients on the phone from her apartment on the Upper West Side. “I basically do all the work. It’s 100 percent guaranteed, money back if they aren’t satisfied, but I have never given anyone’s money back.”
