A letter to President Obama from the heartbroken mother of a US Marine unexpectedly redeployed before he could attend his own wedding is going up for auction, along with the president’s handwritten response.
Obama wrote to the family, “I know how incredibly hard multiple deployments have been on our service members and their families . . . letters like yours are important reminders of the issue’s importance.”
The letters are being auctioned for $12,500 by Moments in Time.
