Hotspot Le Bilboquet will stay open on NYE

Upper East Side hotspot Le Bilboquet is about to do something it’s never done in its 27 years of existence — stay open on New Year’s Eve.

The recently reopened eatery at East 60th Street and Madison Avenue, where regulars include Sting, Bono, Bill Clinton and Bilboquet partner Ron Perelman, will stay open for the first time ever on Tuesday night for New Year’s Eve after management received a slew of calls and text messages from its customers.

The owners of Bilboquet, including managing partner Philippe Delgrange, Steve Witkoff and Eric Clapton, made the last-minute decision on Saturday night to stay open on New Year’s. That didn’t leave much time to create a special menu, so the restaurant will not change its a la carte menu — or its prices — for the big night.

The owners have said they will accommodate any “friends and family” looking to score a table until they fill up. Le Bilboquet closed its old location on East 63rd Street last December, before reopening at its new, bigger location a few blocks down in October.
