And you thought your Fashion Week was hectic? Designer Steven Alan welcomed a new baby boy with Ayla Yavin on the same day of his presentation at Lincoln Center.
Said a friend of the couple, “Steven’s presentation was at 9:30 a.m., and Ayla gave birth at 8:30 p.m. She even made it to the show!”
The friend added that their bundle of joy came in at “6 pounds, 11 ounces, 19¹/₂ inches,” and “mom and baby are doing great.”
Alan missed his company’s after-party at Gilligan’s at the Soho Grand for daddy duty.
He’s certainly family-oriented: When asked whom he’d ideally invite out on the town after a fashion show, he told Glamour: “In general, I find it very relaxing to spend time with my family after the show.”
