Kevin Jonas‘ I Do at Oheka Castle in Long Island was in a white tent with more flowers — white roses, white chrysanthemums, white orchids — than for John Gotti’s funeral. And with glorious crystal beads that looked like snowflakes hanging from birch trees. The 6-foot elaborate cake bore a crown at the top. Bride Danielle Deleasa wore Vera Wang. Female invitees were given Dolce and Gabbana pashmina shawls to protect from the chill. All invitees such as Joey Fatone and “American Idol” finalist Jordin Sparks received picture frame mementos bearing their names.

The Jersey Boys and Christian rocker Michael W. Smith performed. Heartthrob Joe Jonas brought a date. Nick Jonas did not. There is no press release information since it’s a People magazine’s exclusive Dec. 30 cover story.

The wedding was glorious but, barring hors d’oeuvres, many went foodless. By 10:30, still no dinner. It brings me back to when Sen. Alfonse D’Amato married Katuria. That was also at Oheka and my table was alongside Sen. Joe Biden‘s and by 10:45, having already vacuumed up even the rolls at Biden’s table, a bunch of us left. This must be the Oheka way of lavish catering. I only know I ended up with Ritz crackers in my kitchen.

As for the Jonas Brother nuptial, some guests were still on the highway inching home foodless behind snow ploughs and cop cars at 2 a.m.

JUDE Law, one of the three shining knights who stepped in to finish Heath Ledger’s “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus”: “When I got the call it was a real tug. I liked Heath very much as a man and admired him as an actor. To help conclude his final piece of work was a tribute I felt compelled to make. Though Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and I were all there in remembrance, Heath’s heart pushed us with great lightness to the finish.”

WHAT becomes a legend most? Stam ina. Marion Cotillard, up 5:30 a.m. Monday for the “Today” show, worked right straight through plugging “Nine” until her 4 p.m. flight home to Paris. “I love the movie so much that it makes all this work a bit easier,” she told me.

So how was it Day One meeting Nicole, Penelope, Sophia, Judi, Fergie and Daniel Day-Lewis and the aforementioned Kate?

“I was more than intimidated. I dove into the work to stop shaking. And my first-ever scene with Penelope, Nicole and Daniel ended up being cut. The thing is, I’d never met any of them before. Nor had I seen this as a Broadway show. The first I ever even heard of it because it wasn’t well-known in France was when I auditioned for my role.

“But after two months of rehearsals, we all grew close. We’d be together in the singing room, then the dancing room. We’d share lunch. Then maybe sit in on one another’s dance lesson as I did with Kate, Penelope and Nicole. And, although it’s hard to talk about how you see yourself, I must say the first time I was to see the whole movie I had a lot of anxiety.

“I know I still need much improvement in terms of my English, but I’m learning by reading, watching movies and talking. I think the best way is just to talk and then ask people to correct you.”

And how did she treat herself after the film wrapped? “I bought a piece of land. And planted on it my favorite tree. I love trees. My favorite is the Ginkgo Biloba. What I wish for myself is whatever will bless the Earth. Outside of maybe a book of pictures, all I want for Christmas would be another Ginkgo Biloba tree.” [Note to “Nine” producer Harvey Weinstein: Shove that diamond choker you were wrapping for Marion. Just spring for some seeds.]
