It’s splitsville for Susan, Tim

Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon — Hollywood’s leading limousine-liberal power couple — are calling it quits after more than two decades together.

A statement released to People magazine by Sarandon’s rep, Teal Cannaday, simply says, “Susan Sarandon and her partner of 23 years, actor Tim Robbins, have announced that they separated over the summer. No further comments will be made.” We’re told Robbins has been living in Los Angeles since the breakup and is upset over the split.

The couple, who met on the set of “Bull Durham,” have two sons together, Jack, 20, and Miles, 17. (Sarandon also had a daughter, “Californication” star Eva Amurri, with director Franco Amurri.) Sarandon never married either sire.

Sarandon was recently rumored to be involved with 31-year-old Jonathan Brinklin, a partner in Spin, the Flatiron District pingpong club Sarandon invested in. Before opening Spin in September, Brinklin was known for hosting Naked Ping Pong, an occasional party at a TriBeCa loft attended by models, hipsters, and celebs as diverse as 50 Cent and Salman Rushdie.

Reached for comment earlier this month, Brinklin denied to Page Six that he and Sarandon were anything but professional, calling her his “friend and business partner.”

Robbins, who at 51 is 12 years younger than Sarandon, is a vocal spokesman for most pet liberal causes, although he fiercely guards his own privacy.

In 2003, after discovering that then-Washington Post gossip columnist Lloyd Grove had published an interview with Sarandon’s mother, Lenora Tomalin, in which she claimed that the couple had “brainwashed” their son Jack over the 2000 election, Robbins told Grove: “If you ever write about my family again, I will [expletive]-ing find you and I will [expletive]-ing hurt you.”
