Woody Allen a no show at ‘Fading Gigolo’ premiere

Shy Woody Allen was a no-show at the Cinema Society’s screening of John Turturro’s “Fading Gigolo” on Friday — in which he has a rare acting role in a movie he didn’t direct.

Allen persuades Turturro to join the world’s oldest profession — beginning with a ménage à trois with Sharon Stone and Sofía Vergara — in the film, but the newbie gigolo develops an infatuation with Vanessa Paradis.

At a Bar Naná after-party, a DJ played Paradis’ 1987 hit “Joe Le Taxi,” which we’re told made her smile and quip, “That seems like a lifetime ago.” Others swept up in the excitement included Bridget Moynahan, Edie Falco, Helena Christensen and the Strokes’ Fab Moretti and Albert Hammond Jr.
