Actress and director Angelica Torn says she will no longer be known by her troubled but now sober father, Rip Torn’s last name. She’ll now be called Angelica Page, using her late mother acting legend Geraldine Page’s last name instead. Angelica, who has changed her name legally and already registered it with the Screen Actors Guild, told us, “The time has come to now honor my mother by taking her last name from this point on in my life.” She and her father are not currently on speaking terms. She told us, “In the last several months I’ve come to realize that my father and I just don’t see eye to eye on so many things, and I’ve found I no longer have anything in common with him. Nothing personal, but sometimes a rock is just too heavy to lift, and I’m committed to leading a clean and sober lifestyle.” She plans to launch the Geraldine Page Foundation to give grants for acting and the arts. She is also releasing her debut album, aptly titled “Torn No More.”
