Father Andrew O’Connor presided over a “wedding” at designer Tara Subkoff’s Imitation of Christ presentation at the W Hotel Union Square yesterday afternoon, where Lydia Hearst played the bride. But it’s not O’Connor’s first foray into the fashion world — he runs Goods of Conscience, a Guatemala-sourced sustainable-fabric clothing manufacturer that made a pair of shorts Cameron Diaz wore on Vogue’s cover two years ago.

O’Connor, a priest at The Bronx’s Holy Family Parish, held his own presentation at The Plaza last February, but is unsure when he’ll do another. “These [shows] are expensive,” said O’Connor, who liked Subkoff’s vintage bridal-inspired collection. “I saw a nice mixture of diaphanous fabrics … I like the soulfulness of the applique and the embroidery,” he said. Subkoff’s boyfriend, Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper, sat front row and praised her direction, saying, “She’s very good in the zone. It’s more hectic because it’s live. If it were a film, you could go change this or that.”
