Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood must have really wanted a date with Scarlett Johansson.
At a charity gala for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Wood eagerly bid on a package called “Lust in Translation,” a dinner date with the sexy actress. Soon, a bidding war developed between Wood and Hong Kong businessman David Tang. Eventually, the two men decided to split the prize and make it a three-way date with Johansson, each ponying up about $20,513 for the honor.
Wood also was on the giving end of the charity auction. He pledged to give a guitar lesson to one lucky bidder, who bid $31,457. Other prizes at the gala included a tennis lesson from Boris Becker and a small role in a Guy Ritchie film.
Wood recently split with his girlfriend of two years, Brazilian model Ana Paula Araújo. Perhaps he could hit it off with Johansson who, judging by her courtship with Sean Penn, likes her men older.
