Demi Moore appeared at the New York premiere of her new movie “Margin Call,” sans husband Ashton Kutcher and apparently several pounds last night. Posing for photos in a red leopard print dress by Zac Posen, Moore looked very thin.
The actress, usually known for her glow, also appeared sunken in the face, leading many to worry about her health.
For weeks, rumors have circulated about Moore’s dwindling weight. A “pal” told Us Weekly that the stress of her marriage to Kutcher, who has been accused of having a one-night stand with a 22-year-old named Sara Leal, has led Moore to starve herself. “She’s very upset and hasn’t been eating,” the friend explained. “It’s taking a toll.”
Moore, however, did wear her wedding ring to the premiere, perhaps hoping to nix rumors that she and Kutcher have separated.
“Margin Call” has been billed as a thriller set in an investment bank as the financial crisis set in.
“I think we’ve all felt the effects [of the crisis], but we don’t necessarily know what were the elements that lead up to the moment,” Moore told Collider. “What this [movie] does is take you inside to the human aspect and to the individual participants, which was really fascinating to me.”
