Adele should probably buy stock in Spanx. The British songstress admits to wearing four pairs of the body shapers during her appearance at the Grammy Awards earlier this year.
“I had three or four pairs of Spanx on that night but I loved it,” said Adele of her performance at the awards show in February. “I actually had another dress made and I ended up passed out in it. It had a corset and I was like, ‘I can’t wear that,’ so I ended up wearing this instead.”

Adele, whose full name is Adele Adkins, performed live for the NBC special “Adele Live in London” last night, and sat down for a rare American interview with Matt Lauer. The singer also told the “Today” host about getting a surprise call from Sir Elton John before the awards show.
“I had no idea who it was and he just started chatting away to me,” said Adele. “I passed the phone over to a friend and I was like, ‘Yeah, it’s Elton.’ It still cracks me up. It made me think, my god, it’s another level now.”
Adele also explained why she does so few interviews.
“I just want to make music, I don’t want people to talk about me. All I’ve ever wanted to do was sing,” she said. “I don’t want to be a celebrity. I don’t want to be in people’s faces, you know, constantly on covers of magazine that I haven’t even known I’m on.”
The singer says that she is constantly shocked by the rumors that circulate about her.
“I was adopting an Ethiopian child, that’s not true. My house was haunted, that wasn’t true,” she said. “God, there’s been so many rumors.”
