Kris Humphries said in a deposition yesterday that he never talked about his divorce from Kim Kardashian to Fatmire “Myla” Sinanaj, and that Sinanaj was just a friend.
Humphries was deposed yesterday as part of his divorce case with Kardashian. In previous reports, Sinanaj has been rumored to have dated Humphries for five months while he was separated from the E! reality star, which Humphries has denied.
According to TMZ, the NBA player said during his Monday deposition that Sinanaj was just a friend who was curious about Kardashian. Sources connected with Humphries further told TMZ that in his deposition he said he only spoke “generally” to Sinanaj about Kardashian, and only when she asked questions, such as, “What’s she like in real life?”
The sources also said Humphries testified that he never spoke to Sinanaj about his divorce.
Sinanaj has been reported to have emails, texts and documents detailing a relationship with Humphries, and revealing that Humphries, “[wanted] to get the divorce over with quickly” so they could be together. But Humphries has maintained he never was serious with Sinanaj.
But TMZ further says that in the deposition, Humphries did not discuss any allegations that Kim married him as a ploy for bigger TV ratings.
Humphries was “asked various questions about his allegations that Kim defrauded him into marrying her and her motivation was just a crass ploy for ratings,” the site says, adding, “We’re told Kris offered no specifics … no evidence of fraud.”
US Weekly reported a source as saying the day of the deposition, “It wasn’t like [Humphries] was duped and she took him to Vegas to go get married in a big hurry. He knew about everything and it was filmed. When did he all of a sudden become a dummy and not understand what was going on?”
Kardashian is expected to be deposed in LA in the next 10 days before the couple, who was married for 72 days, face off in divorce court.
