Courtney Love in a hole over legal fees: report

Courtney Love could be in a financial hole with a former attorney.

According to TMZ a suit is being filed in L.A. County Superior Court by Love’s former law firm Keith A. Fink Associates to sue the Hole singer for $466,029.41 in back payments, late fees, and punitive damages.

TMZ’s report says that the firm worked with Love from January 2009 to October 2009, and handled 14 different legal matters which racked up the rocker a bill of $518,640.66 in fees. The report further says that while Love sent the firm gifts, thank-you notes, flowers and tickets to concerts, her checks for payment bounced.

Love’s rep Steve Honig told TMZ in a statement that, “Courtney has not been served with anything, so as far as we’re concerned, there is no lawsuit. Additionally, Keith has not been her attorney for many years, so it’s a bit odd that this would surface now.”

The law firm is also alleging, according to TMZ, that Love was frivolous with money, spending a fortune on assistants who “charged her hundreds of dollars for measly tasks such as tidying up hotel suite and picking up coffee for her at a nearby Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.”
