Naomi Campbell drew admirers like bees to honey Wednesday night at the Beatrice Inn. Campbell arrived on crutches and wearing a leg brace after tearing a ligament in her ankle, but took the brace off for dinner as she held court at a corner table with Vogue editor Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele and photographer Steven Meisel, while Donna Karan, Vera Wang and Calvin Klein sat together two tables over. Before the night was over, the fashion designers all made their way over to Campbell’s table to say hello, which caused one observer to quip, “It takes a special person, i.e. Naomi, to get those three to get up and walk to someone else’s table.” Observers told us a bodyguard brought over the supermodel’s large, white fur coat when she was leaving the restaurant and helped her maneuver her way out on crutches. Also at Graydon Carter’s new eatery: literary agent Luke Janklow, Cinema Society’s Andrew Saffir and Daniel Benedict, actress Melissa George and Gregory Speck.
