Kim Jong Un’s favorite basketball player is now trying to buddy up to the next pope.
Dennis Rodman is reportedly flying over to Rome to witness the white smoke of the papal announcement and then arrange a meeting with the new pope – or at least he hopes so.
The former NBA star told TMZ that his “people” have allegedly been speaking with other unnamed people at the Vatican who will try to get a sit-down with whoever is declared the next pontiff.
Rodman, who wants to use his new odd-couple friendship with the North Korean leader to broker peace with President Obama, now thinks he’s the man to solve the problems of the Catholic Church.
Ever the aspiring diplomat, The Worm told the gossip site he will be “anywhere in the world that I’m needed.”
He added, “I want to spread a message of peace and love throughout the world.”
