Could Fashion Week be in disarray at the Gramercy Park Hotel?
Multiple sources tell us the glamorous venue recently hired new management that canceled a number of parties booked there during the start of Fashion Week. We hear designers and brands, including Lulu Frost and Rebecca Minkoff, are now scrambling to rebook their parties elsewhere.
But a rep for the hotel downplayed the scheduling snafu: “The team has not canceled any parties which were approved and confirmed. The party cited was presented to the hotel, along with many others, however, was never approved or confirmed via the members of the senior team. Overall, management always has to keep the best interest of the property at heart as to protect the exquisite nature of this landmark hotel and the comfort of their guests.”
Minkoff’s after-party will be held at Jimmy at the James Hotel. No word yet on where Lulu Frost’s party will be. Meanwhile, the Fashion Week celebrations will certainly continue at the Gramercy Park’s famed Rose Bar.
