Sonja Morgan a no-show at big bash to settle debts

The unsinkable Sonja Morgan missed a big party on the most recent episode of “The Real Housewives of New York City” because she was in France putting her house in St. Tropez on the market.

Despite a story in a fact-challenged rival newspaper, Morgan told me she has not moved out of the Upper East Side townhouse she shares with her daughter Quincy, 13. And she is not renting it out for $25,000 a month.

“This is my home. My lifestyle brand is based on living here and I’m thriving,” Sonja said.

It’s true there is a $7 million court judgment against her over a movie deal gone sour, and it’s true she filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to reorganize her debts. But she has a plan.

“The reason I wasn’t at [co-star] Heather [Thomson]’s anniversary party was because I was listing my house in St. Tropez for 6 million Euros,” Morgan said. “I want to pay my debts and I want stability for my daughter, who is getting straight As.”
