Hamptons bus ditches LuAnn De Lesseps

Countess LuAnn de Lesseps was treated like a commoner by a driver for Hamptons Luxury Liner yesterday. When the “Real Housewives of NYC” star arrived at 86th and Lexington to catch the 9:50 a.m. bus, she asked if she had time to get a cup of coffee. The driver said he had to pull out in two minutes. “I go get a coffee, come out and the bus is gone,” LuAnn said. When she jumped into a Woodbury Commons bus, its driver radioed the Hamptons bus to say, “I will deliver your passenger at 40th Street,” where LuAnn was able to board, said Luxury Liner marketing director Jennifer Friebbly.

“The driver said she was irate, but there was no profanity.” The countess said, “I told him he shouldn’t leave me stranded. It was really obnoxious.” LuAnn will perform her song, “Money Can’t Buy You Class,” with cannons shooting out cash tomorrow at the Best Buddies benefit at the Hamptons estate of Jay McInerney and Anne Hearst.
