Vanilla Ice — a k a Rob Van Winkle, now 45 — has some wisdom for current pop fixation Justin Bieber.
Van Winkle, who once had the fastest-selling hip-hop album of all time, would tell Bieber fame is “like a snow globe. It gets shaken up and when it settles, he’s gonna try and find his purpose,” Ice told us at a bash for his new DIY Network series “Vanilla Ice Goes Amish.”
“I’m sure he’s not liking it from the inside,” Ice added, “though watching is very entertaining. Who doesn’t like to see a celebrity self-destruct or pee on people, or whatever he’s doing?”
Van Winkle also got in a dig at Miley Cyrus, who said of Biebs: “People don’t take him seriously . . . I just don’t want to see him [bleep] that up, to where people think he’s Vanilla Ice.”
Ouch.
Van Winkle said he recently coached a pregnant woman on the finer points of twerking, and “I told her no matter how bad you are, you’ll never be as bad as Miley.”
On his show, the rapper delivers a cow he calls Baby Ice, and “I had to shovel pig [bleep]. I had to do all the chores before the sun came up. You have to gain their respect.”
