“Glee” star Lea Michele left her p.r. firm ID after a decade — and sources are buzzing that it wasn’t entirely the actress’ own decision.
In fact, sources say the actress was being a diva.
“She was refusing to do things they had lined up for her because of her ‘busy schedule’ filming ‘Glee,’ ” said a showbiz source.
“She was saying that [‘Glee’ creator] Ryan Murphy was the only one who could make her do certain appearances.”
Michele has since signed up with Kim Kardashian’s former publicist Jill Fritzo — whose clients include Selena Gomez and Michael Strahan — as well as Pearl Servat and Nicole Perez-Krueger at PMK*BNC.
Said Michele: “I’m very grateful to ID p.r. and all the work we did together over the past 10 years.”
An ID rep added, “We’re proud of our accomplishments during our long collaboration with Lea, and wish her only the best.”
Of any long-simmering diva rumors, Michele told Marie Claire in 2012, “I can assure you that [the diva rumors] aren’t real. It’s super-frustrating sometimes, and I used to fight back, but now I feel like, ‘You can think what you want about me.’”
