Diane von Furstenberg’s LA bash to celebrate 40 years of her iconic wrap dress was an orgy of fashion, art and A-listers. And the bizarre blend made for Golden Globes weekend’s most memorable party.

“I feel like I’m on a bad acid trip,” said a guest who’d entered a hallway wallpapered with images of the designer, graphic patterns on the floors and a pink neon sign blaring, “Feel Like a Woman, Wear a Dress!”

At the Wilshire May Company Building Friday was an enormous gallery featuring images of DVF at every age by artists including Andy Warhol, Chuck Close and Helmut Newton. In another room, the “Journey of a Dress” exhibition featured wrap dresses galore on mannequins whose facial features were inspired by the designer’s own enduring cheekbones.

The designer also recreated Studio 54 in an adjoining space, with bold-faced names everywhere. Jeff Bezos gabbed with Barry Diller, Andy Cohen interviewed Anderson Cooper, and Gwyneth Paltrow strutted in a low-cut jumpsuit.
