Billionaire financier Michael Milken’s Prostate Cancer Foundation raised a record $24.2 million at its power player-packed Manhattan gala. Guests at Tuesday’s event at the Plaza Hotel included Goldman’s Lloyd Blankfein, Apollo’s Leon Black, David Koch, Israel Englander, Richard and Karen LeFrak, Elaine Wynn, Larry Gagosian, Earle and Carol Mack and Carl Icahn. Pharmaceutical billionaire Stewart Rahr pledged $15 million to the foundation to fund research projects, while Icahn pledged more than $1 million. A spokesman for the foundation said, “This is the most we’ve ever raised in one night, thanks to the generosity of many. It will all go straight into lifesaving research.”
