The Silicon Valley crowd is expected to get a taste of Spike Jonze’s “Her” this week when Oracle billionaire Larry Ellison hosts a screening of the film, which stars Joaquin Phoenix as a man in love with a Siri-like operating system (a theme with which the techie types may certainly identify). The buzzy movie was produced by Ellison’s daughter, Megan Ellison, who also has “American Hustle” in this year’s Oscar race. At a lunch reception on Tuesday at Graydon Carter’s Monkey Bar, offbeat director Jonze decided to do a Q&A session without a moderator and just take queries from the crowd. Amy Adams, who stars in “Hustle,” slipped into the reception on her way between interviews on “Live With Kelly and Michael” and “The Daily Show,” where she brought her 3-year-old daughter, Aviana, to keep her company in the green rooms, our spies report. Jonze also screened his film on Monday night at the Sunshine Cinema and recently in Miami for a VIP crowd that included Jeffrey Deitch, Mike D and Lily Cole, with a dinner after at the Standard Spa.
