NASCAR star buys $14.25M Village apartment

Jimmie Johnson — the five-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champ — has raced to buy a $14.25 million apartment in the West Village.

The building, Superior Ink, designed by starchitect Robert A.M. Stern, isn’t exactly new to Johnson, wife Chandra and their two daughters, reports The Post’s Jennifer Gould Keil.

The family sold a sixth-floor, three bedroom unit in the building that was listed with Halstead’s Lisa Rose for $10.5 million, and then bought the larger 3,234-square-foot, five-bedroom unit for its full asking price.

The deal was done through Red Fox Real Estate Holdings, the LLC Johnson once used to buy a $4 million “starter” apartment in Chelsea that he sold in 2010.
