Ray Kelly and Bill Bratton turned up in the same room together the other night — the Four Seasons Bar Room, scene of the party for Seymour Lachman’s book “Mr. New York: Lew Rudin and His Love for the City.”
But the outgoing and incoming top cops kept their distance. “Kelly worked the room with his wife, Veronica, while Bratton hung at the bar with his wife, Rikki Klieman,” a guest reports. “They were both very sociable . . . but no one saw them approach one another.”
Four Seasons co-owner Julian Niccolini also played host to Bill Rudin and daughter Beth Rudin DeWoody, Jerry Speyer, DA Cyrus Vance, Jared Kushner, Stephen Schwarzman and Jonathan Gray.
