Neil Patrick Harris has hosted the Tonys four times, but he may be a nominee instead this year.
The former “Doogie Howser, M.D.” star showed off the first preview of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” at the Belasco Theatre Saturday night and brought the house down.
“Neil pranced, danced and ran through the audience to plant a kiss on husband Davis Burtka’s lips,” said a spy at the rock musical.
Colin Callender, producer of Tom Hanks’ “Lucky Guy,” brought the show that opened in 1998 at the Jane Street Theatre to Broadway.
