Eliot Spitzer may have been eliminated from the race for New York City Comptroller, but he still appears to be campaigning. The disgraced former governor, with his reptilian grin, stopped by Midtown hot spot Lavo nightclub on Tuesday night for top DJ and producer Avicii’s album-release party. A witness said a solo Spitzer — who is not known for his appreciation of electronic dance music — appeared out of the blue, and was working the room, “shaking hands and posing for photos during the blowout party.” Fox News international correspondent Adam Housley tweeted, “Only in NY. Elliott [sic] Spitzer just had 3 women follow him to the bathroom looking for a photo. Were they voters or tourists?” Page Six revealed in May he and wife Silda are living separate lives, and she privately hopes for a divorce now that the campaign is over. A Spitzer rep explained, “A friend of many years invited Eliot to Lavo, so he went along, and some people asked for a photo, and he was happy to oblige. There is no comment on the speculation about his marriage.”
