Andrew Cuomo is writing a book about his work as governor of New York. Sources tell us Cuomo is working on his autobiography with Steve Cohen, his former secretary, right-hand man and closest political confidant, who is currently negotiating a deal with publishers. In 2011, Cohen returned to the private sector, joining a Washington-based law firm, after nearly five years working with Cuomo. The governor’s spokesman, Josh Vlasto, confirmed that Cuomo and Cohen are working on a book, to be published in 2014, which focuses primarily on his term as governor. Meanwhile, as reported by The Post’s Keith Kelly, New York Post Albany Bureau Chief Fred Dicker has inked a deal to write a biography on Cuomo for HarperCollins and has the cooperation of the governor. “Mr. Dicker has been reporting on Albany politics and government for 30 years and is widely acknowledged to be an expert,” said Vlasto. “The governor and his staff plan on cooperating with Mr. Dicker’s book,” which is set to be published next year.
