Forget Angelina Jolie’s right leg. It is all about Kate Middleton’s left leg.
The Duchess of Cambridge gave the world a rare glimpse of her thigh while attending a private dinner last night in London. Middleton stunned in a cream-colored, long-sleeved gown believed to have been designed by Roland Mouret. Because her dress featured a daring thigh-high slit, the Duchess she showed off more porcelain skin than she presumably bargained for as she was exiting her vehicle.

Middleton’s look was vaguely reminiscent of the high-slit gown Angelina Jolie wore to the Academy Awards, where the actress posed provocatively with her leg on full display. Jolie’s gam quickly became an internet sensation; perhaps the Duchess’ leg has the same staying power.
Middleton paired her Mouret gown with a blingy clutch and earrings, as well as a pair of silver Jimmy Choo sandals that were far more va-va-voom than the Duchess usually wears. The Duke of Cambridge sported a classic black tuxedo.
The Duke and Duchess were headed to a meeting of the Thirty Club, which boasts members of the UK’s media elite. Prince William was last night’s featured speaker, following in the footsteps of his mother Diana and his grandfather Prince Philip who have also spoken at the club.
“The Duke has been invited for around nine years now and thought that it was right to accept the invitation this year because of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee,” a palace spokesperson told The Daily Mail. “It also seemed rather apt as it’s his 30th birthday next month.”
