Michael Douglas’ son out of solitary confinement

Actor Michael Douglas’ drug-dealing son Cameron Douglas is finally out of solitary confinement and can have visitors, according to a new report.

The news, reported by RadarOnline.com, comes almost six months after his dad complained at the Emmys that he could not visit Cameron because of all the time he had spent in solitary.

“It’s true,” Anthony Papa of the Drug Policy Alliance told the website. “That’s what I heard.”

After the speech, Michael and his ex-wife, Diandra Luker, worked with Papa to post a petition to Change.org asking prison officials to allow them visitation rights before Douglas’ planned 2018 release.

Cameron was originally sentenced to five years in 2009 for conspiracy to distribute drugs after he was caught selling heroin out of a New York City hotel room.

Another four-and-a-half years were tacked on in 2011 when he was caught with drugs while behind bars and transferred from a low-security prison in Pennsylvania to the high-security Cumberland Federal Corrections Institute in Maryland.
