Tom Hanks got a sweet surprise for his birthday from former Gov. George Pataki. Hanks was celebrating his 56th Monday night at Marea with fellow funnymen Martin Short and Steve Martin. Pataki, at another table dining with friends, heard it was the “Forrest Gump” star’s birthday and sent out for a box of chocolates and Dr Pepper, a reference to the movie, to be delivered to his table. Hanks then stood up and waved at them, shouting, “You have my vote.”
