A flood from the men’s restroom at the Jane Hotel could have brought Starr Rum’s Global Citizen Festival kick-off event Friday night to an abrupt end, but Foo Fighter frontman Dave Grohl came to the rescue. The rocker tried to keep guests contained in the bar area, because 3 inches of foul-smelling water wasn’t going to end his fun that evening. Eventually, his band, CW producer Josh Schwartz, Michelle Trachtenberg and other VIPs escaped to higher ground — kicking off an exclusive after-party on the venue’s rooftop — while the rest of the guests dropped their cocktails and fled the scene. After Saturday’s Nur Khan Sessions- and Goldenvoice-produced Global Citizen Festival in Central Park, with headliners Neil Young with Crazy Horse, the Foo Fighters and the Black Keys, the stars partied at The Gallery at the Dream Downtown. Guests at the Qui Tequila bash with DJ Cash included Olivia Wilde and Carol Alt. Later, the party continued until the early hours at the Electric Room.
