If you weren’t in the holiday spirit quite yet, get ready … “Grease” stars John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John have reunited for a super-cheese-tastic-looking holiday album, called “This Christmas.”
The pair who sang “You’re The One That I Want” in the hit 1978 movie musical, is pictured on their new release smiling with teacups of… hot cocoa? Or maybe those are cappuccinos? They’re posed by a mountain of presents with a Christmas tree, and Travolta’s in that traditional Christmas garment, a black muscle T-shirt, while Newton-John’s holding that teacup with femme fatale red nail polish.
They’re both flashing their pearly whites and Hollywood hair.
“My desire was to make… an intimate album, not something too ostentatious or showy,” said Newton-John in a statement, according to Aussie blog MusicFix. “I wanted people to be able to play it around the house, or in the car, during the holidays, and make us part of your celebration.”
The former “Xanadu” star added, “It just fell into place. With our busy schedules, I don’t know how we got it done.”
The album’s due out Nov. 13. Proceeds go to the Jett Travolta Foundation and the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre in Melbourne.
