Hero Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger’s getting the star treatment, having signed with Hollywood and New York-based talent agency Abrams Artists for representation. According to the agency, the pilot — who saved US Airways Flight 1549 with a miracle splash-landing in the Hudson River in 2009 — is “now looking to branch out and use his image in partnership with a few select companies.” (A category we’ll immediately suggest is a line of down coats and bedding, since Sully’s engines were cooked by Canada geese.) The miracle flier’s already a CBS News aviation and safety expert and also the subject of two published tomes, “Highest Duty” and “Making a Difference.” A third Sully book, on the subject of leadership, commitment, courage and service, will be published early next year. As part of any impending ad deals he’ll be available to speak at corporate meetings and conventions. That’s fine, but let’s think outside the box: What about a cameo in Bob and Harvey Weinstein’s “Scary Movie 5?”
