The Dallas Cowboys will go head-to-head with NFC East division rivals the Washington Redskins today, but the action on the field will be rivaled by its halftime show. For the past 16 years, Charlotte Jones Anderson — daughter of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones — has spearheaded the production of the Thanksgiving halftime spectacle, the only other pro pigskin showdown with a halftime show besides the Super Bowl. Country crooner Kenny Chesney will headline the extravaganza, which will also mark the kickoff for the Salvation Army’s annual Red Kettle Campaign. Past performers who have filled the Turkey Day slot include Keith Urban, Toby Keith, the Jonas Brothers and Kelly Clarkson.
