Jenni Rivera’s family furious over leaked crash footage: report

The family of the late Jenni Rivera is said to be outraged after footage of her grisly plane crash made rounds online.

The gruesome footage shows some mangled body parts, including a severed foot with painted toenails. Two Mexican police officers were arrested for allegedly leaking images of the crash scene to the media.

According to TMZ, Rivera’s family wants those responsible brought to justice.

Although the video has not been confirmed as authentic, the family believes it may be real based on what’s in the video.

A source told the gossip site that the severed foot was the most painful part for the family to watch because, “Jenni was very particular about her feet and toes.”

Sources told TMZ that the Rivera family is hoping to have all traces of the footage removed from the Web.

Rivera rose through personal adversity to become a superstar adored by millions in a male-dominated genre of Mexican-American music.

The 43-year-old superstar and six other people died Sunday evening when a plane she was traveling in nose-dived to the ground while flying from Monterrey in northern Mexico to the central city of Toluca.

Her remains arrived at Long Beach Airport by private jet yesterday evening. Her casket was then driven to a mortuary, where dozens of fans waited.

Other fans gathered outside her family’s home in nearby Lakewood, where well-wishers have left a memorial of photos, candles and flowers.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
