Russell Crowe vows to work on marriage, reunite family

Russell Crowe is determined to bring his family back together.

The actor, who is currently estranged from wife Danielle Spencer, tweeted on Wednesday, “As soon as I finish this job and can get home, my priority is to try to bring my family back together.”

Crowe has been in New York filming “A Winter’s Tale” with Hugh Jackman.

The tweet follows a recent sighting of the Aussie star cuddling in front of a romantic fireplace with foodie Katie Lee, the ex-wife of Billy Joel.

“They seemed to be in an intense flirtatious conversation,” a spy told Page Six, adding, “They looked really into each other.”

A rep for Crowe says of Lee, “They are just friends.”

Crowe also added in his tweet, “These latest reports are false & cruel.”

His post comes after Spencer’s return to social media following their split. She wrote on her Facebook page, “’Hi Everyone! I’m sorry i haven’t visited here for a while, things have been keeping me somewhat busy of late. I just wanted to thank you all for bearing with me and also for your messages of support, it means a lot to me.”

Crowe recently admitted that his busy work schedule has left him with little time to spend with his sons Charles and Tennyson, who are based in Sydney.

He tweeted two weeks ago: “Starting on another film set tomorrow. I need to go home & be with my children. Cannot believe how [bleep]ed up my schedule has become this year.”
