The media elite (plus a few actors) came out for Chuck Pfeiffer’s annual Christmas lunch Wednesday at a private club. Among readings, including a parody of Cole Porter’s “You’re the Top,” and plenty of jokes from journalist and writer Taki Theodoracopulos, there was an acoustic performance. Pfeiffer, a former Green Beret, played “Mama Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys,” “Montana” and a song he penned called “Patty Brown,” about a firefighter who perished on 9/11. Attendees included Christopher Walken, Bartle B. Bull, Jay McInerney, Candace Bushnell, Gay Talese, Joan Juliet Buck, Michael and JohnBuffalo Mailer and more.
