Jennifer Aniston, Salma Hayek, SJP: celebs in hell

Jennifer Aniston, Salma Hayek, Sarah Jessica Parker and other stars plus academics and fotogs weigh in on celebrity culture and paparazzi in a new doc, “$ellebrity.” “You’re disoriented. You can’t see in front of you, ” Aniston says in the film, directed by Kevin Mazur. “It’s false imprisonment . . . When I’m in my car, they’re surrounding my car. I can’t see. They flash light bulbs; it’s nighttime, and my vision is impaired.” Jennifer Lopez, who endured media scrutiny as “Bennifer” when she dated Ben Affleck, comments: “When you’re . . . in the tabloids all the time, you’re, like, ‘Well, maybe that part is true; maybe it wasn’t.’ Then, all of a sudden, you’re a victim to what they’re saying and what they’re writing.” As for reality TV, “it numbs my brain — and the people being called celebrities who have their own reality shows, I wanna kill them,” Elton John states. The film’s out next month.
