The art elite headed south this weekend for the opening of gallery Museo Jumex in Mexico City. We’re told more than 700 VIPs, including billionaire collector Eli Broad, Jeffrey Deitch, Stefan Edlis, Hans-Ulrich Obrist, Lisa Phillips and Vito Schnabel, and celebs like Will Ferrell and Eva Longoria and her new man, Jose Antonio Baston, came to celebrate collector Eugenio Lopez’s new gallery designed by David Chipperfield. Lopez’s Collección Jumex is said to be the largest private modern art collection in Latin America.
