Lindsey Vonn was determined not to miss the Super Bowl parties despite being on crutches following knee surgery that kept her from the Olympics.
She told us on the red carpet at DirecTV, “I am just making sure to sit down as much as I can because it tends to get swollen if I am standing for too long.”
When it comes to getting through crowds, she said, “Everyone has been really nice . . . People are like, ‘Can I carry you in?’ ”
She’ll be working as a correspondent for NBC on Sochi, but will remain in the US: “I can’t really travel that far with my knee the way it is so it’s nice to be a part of the Olympics in some small way.”
