Jane Lynch and psychologist Dr. Lara Embry are divorcing after their three-year marriage.
“Lara and I have decided to end our marriage,” The “Glee” actress told People in a statement. “This has been a difficult decision for us as we care very deeply about one another. We ask for privacy as we deal with this family matter.”
Lynch, 52, met her 44-year-old wife at a 2009 fundraiser in San Francisco at which Embry was being honored.
They married on Memorial Day in 2010 in an intimate ceremony in Sunderland, Mass.
Lynch is currently keeping busy with her role as Miss Hannigan in “Annie: The Musical on Broadway.” She performed at last night’s Tony Awards and walked the red carpet solo.
