Ireland Baldwin ‘saddened’ by Paris Jackson suicide attempt

Ireland Baldwin revealed that she’s reached out to Paris Jackson on Twitter after the teenager’s shocking suicide attempt last week.

“I think she is a gorgeous girl. She’s one of the most beautiful girls her age I’ve ever seen,” Alec Baldwin’s 17-year-old daughter told “Entertainment Tonight.”

“It saddens me to see her going through something like that,” she said.

The aspiring model then spoke about some of the hurtful comments she receives from her critics, and how Jackson, 15, should just brush off the negativity.

“All of us, no matter who you are, get tons of Twitter negativity and there [are] some people that say horrific things but she just shouldn’t mind them. [Jackson] has so many people that support her.”

In April, Baldwin confessed that her foray into modeling has also come with “hateful emails, Twitter replies, and comments about me and my parents.”

She explained to ET, “We’ve all been teased and had our hair pulled now and then… I have gone through things with girls and I think it takes time and maturity to say ‘ok, they are going to say this about me and they are going to comment on how I look…and [people] are always going to have an opinion’ and it’s best to just shut it out.”
