Harvey Weinstein, Tory Burch come out for Film Society of Lincoln Center

Hollywood writers and directors descended on Il Buco on Wednesday in celebration of the Film Society of Lincoln Center and Jaeger-LeCoultre’s new Filmmaker in Residence program. Scott Frank — the LA writer behind “The Wolverine” and “Minority Report” — told us he’s been holed up in Manhattan editing his directorial effort, “A Walk Among the Tombstones.” The Liam Neeson movie’s already made headlines after former “Downton Abbey” star Dan Stevens dramatically dropped 30 pounds for a role. Frank said Stevens, who plays a heroin dealer, showed up having shed weight to audition, and then lost even more when he got the part. Holding court at another table, “Bourne Legacy” writer-director Tony Gilroy said he’s been in solitude working on a new screenplay. James Toback was still fresh from Cannes, where he sold his Alec Baldwin film, “Seduced and Abandoned,” to HBO, and Paul Schrader’s preparing to debut his Lindsay Lohan movie “The Canyons.” Charles Finch co-hosted the bash, where guests included Barry Levinson, Harvey Weinstein, Tory Burch, Ed Pressman and Bob Shaye.
